Join Oceania Dairy and enjoy a range of career choices in a rapidly developing industry, where international markets and innovation are part of everyday work.
On any given day, Oceania has far less staff working on site than our bigger competitors have away on leave, yet we still manage to outrank them for quality, efficiency and price to milk suppliers.
But then we're not your average dairy company. For us, everything we do has to be perfect because that's what leads to us making quality product the world can rely on.
So how do we make sure we continue to punch above our weight and support the Yili Group as it outpaces the world’s biggest dairy producers?
We aim to employ the best people and we work harder than the others. We get on with it. Quality, innovation, planning and teamwork – that’s what we do. At Oceania, we don't just talk about excellence, we demonstrate it in our actions and the examples we set for others.
In return for helping us in our drive towards maintaining the best standards, we can offer you:
A safe, totally smoke-free workplace
Manufacturing/Operations in our Powder, UHT and Canning & Blending Plants
Oceania Dairy understands that a university education is a major investment for future generations and since the launch of our annual scholarship program in 2015, we have proudly supported six young local people across the Waimate, Waitaki and Timaru Districts through tertiary education. A scholarship might just provide the helping hand needed to make university life a little easier.
A career in the dairy industry can be highly rewarding and successful scholarship students get valuable work experience, progressing their careers by working with industry leaders. When they are not studying, scholarship students help contribute to key aspects of Oceania’s operations by completing technical projects driving continuous improvement throughout various departments.
Applications are now closed. For all those great young people that applied, we will be in touch shortly.

Oceania Dairy staff celebrate the KaiNexus International Customer of the Year Award at the 5th Annual KaiNexus User Conference (KaiNexicon 2019) in the US. This software supports the company's continuous improvement programs, and the award is an example of the great relationships Oceania has with its suppliers. The two-day conference was attended by Technical Assistant Dion Batchelor and proved to be a great way to share ideas with other like-minded companies heavily involved with kaizen.
