Jiuyuan Guo

Resident Director

As the Executive Director of Oceania Dairy Ltd, Mr. Guo Jiuyuan brings 16 years of extensive experience in production operations and management within the dairy industry. With profound expertise, especially in quality management systems, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities. He is not only a Black Belt in quality management, proficient in advanced quality tools, but has also shown remarkable prowess in driving process optimization and technological innovation within the enterprise.

Mr. Guo played a pivotal role in the construction of Yili's Intelligent Health Valley Smart Factory, overseeing the entire vertical start-up from project design to process technology and intelligent implementation, leading the factory to a successful launch from the ground up. By spearheading the company's TPM Lean Management and YLQAS systems, he guided the company to achieve JIPM certification, significantly enhancing overall operational efficiency and product quality.

Since joining the Yili Milk Powder Division in 2007, Mr. Guo's exceptional leadership skills and outstanding performance have seen him serve as Quality Manager and Production Supervisor at various factories. He has continually driven quality improvement and cost-saving initiatives, leading to substantial economic benefits for the company.

As an experienced expert in quality and technical management, he excels in quality management systems and is adept at utilizing advanced quality tools for problem analysis and improvement. His strategic vision and execution in full-chain cost reduction projects have led to notable innovations, significantly lowering production costs and improving the company's overall operational efficiency.

Mr. Guo's outstanding performance and continuous spirit of innovation in key roles have earned him widespread recognition within the company and established him as a leading figure in the industry. Adhering to the philosophy of "Quality as the Lifeblood, Innovation as the Driver," he leads his team towards ever higher goals, contributing significantly to the company's ongoing development and competitive edge.

As the Executive Director of ODL, he will continue to leverage his exceptional expertise and leadership to drive the company towards greater breakthroughs and development in the future. We believe that under his leadership, ODL will remain at the forefront of the industry, embracing a more prosperous future.


Nera Gordon

General Manager

Nera brings 16 years operational dairy manufacturing experience to Oceania Dairy. He has worked in a range of positions manufacturing various dairy products, as well as roles in Automation and Process Control, all within Fonterra.

He joined Oceania as a the Plant Manager for our Milk Powder Plant and has successfully ran this for 4 years before being appointed the Operations Manager in November 2021.  Nera brings a wealth of manufacturing and operational experience to this role, with a key strength in people leadership & process improvement.  This role covers the leadership of our Dryer Operations, Canning and Blending Plant as well as R&D/Technical, IT and Automation. 

In September 2023 Nera was appointed General Manager for Oceania Dairy Limited.


Shane Lodge

Supply and Environment Manager

Shane joined Oceania in 2013 having had a similar role at New Zealand Dairies Ltd. He was previously the Executive Director of the Dairy Companies Association of New Zealand and held senior roles at Fonterra, New Zealand Dairy Group and the South Island Dairy Co-operative after starting in the dairy industry with MAF. He is a graduate of Lincoln College (B.Agr Sci) and a Judicial and Ministerial Justice of the Peace.  Shane is the main contact within the Company for farmer suppliers.  He works with and for farmers to maximize their returns, and with staff to make the most of suppliers’ milk, reinforcing the principle that quality is built through continuous improvement.  He is also responsible for ensuring that the company meets all its regulatory requirements.  This has involved Shane in developing the Company’s quality systems and securing all initial registrations and consents.  He has built and maintained the existing and potential milk supply base, maintains farm regulatory compliance, and ensures the Company meets its own environmental obligations.  Shane also represents the Company on industry committees and groups, and government liaison bodies, and maintains relationships with the local community, district and regional councils.


Susan King

Human Resource Manager 

Susan brings over 20 years of HR generalist experience to the HR role at Oceania Dairy .  Most recently Susan was based in Australia and brings experience from a number of multi-national and Australian businesses with her to this role.  South Canterbury is her home and she has returned to South Canterbury to reconnect with friends and family and make a strong contribution to Oceania Dairy through her strong HR  generalist background.  


Robbie Breen

Canning & Pouch Production Manager

Robbie joined Oceania Dairy in 2016. Born and raised in Oamaru, coming to Oceania was something of a homecoming. Following strong progression through a range of roles at Oceania Dairy, Robbie was appointed Canning & Pouch Production Manager in January of 2022. Since then, Robbie has delivered successful, exponential and sustainable results with People, Systems, Production and Quality. Key to this has been an approach of 'an uncompromising belief in people, energy and grounded optimism'.


Matt Karlsson

Maintenance & Services (Utilities) Manager

Matt officially joined Oceania Dairy in October 2018 as the Lead for the Electrical and Instrumentation team, following years of managing electrical projects as a contractor at the Oceania Dairy site since it's inception in 2010. With 15 years of industry experience across various manufacturing sites, Matt quickly advanced to his current position as Site Maintenance & Services (Utilities) Manager. In this role, he has consistently driven the site's success by integrating departments, fostering continuous improvement, and developing maintenance best practices for all site equipment.


Regan Mclay

D1/AMF Production manager

Regan began his journey at Oceania Dairy in March 2014, entering the dairy manufacturing industry with no prior experience. Starting as a process controller in the Drying tower, he eagerly expanded his knowledge across all areas of manufacturing. His dedication and determination quickly became evident as he advanced into a leadership role as a Production Supervisor.
As a Production Supervisor, Regan focused on developing staff knowledge and ensuring the production of high-quality products. His commitment to excellence led to his selection as a Process Manager for the Dryer. During his three years as a D1 Process Manager, Regan identified numerous opportunities for staff development and continuous improvement. He successfully implemented various initiatives that streamlined processes and generated significant cost savings.
In November 2021, Regan was promoted to D1 & AMF Production Manager. In this role, he continues to leverage the skills and knowledge acquired throughout his career at Oceania Dairy. Leading the Dryer team, he consistently produces high-quality infant and nutritional formulas, develops processes and procedures, and emphasizes people coaching and development with a strong collaborative focus.


Mia Bai

Finance Manager

Mia Bai, from the headquarters of Yili Group, brings a wealth of financial expertise to her role as Financial Manager. She has extensive experience in financial shared services accounting, internal control management, asset management, cost accounting, consolidated financial reporting, and international accounting.

Mia has played an important role in establishing the Indonesian overseas factory and implementing the overseas ERP project. Known for her strong sense of responsibility and commitment to delivering results, Mia is effective in team collaboration, detail-oriented, and strategic in her financial management approach. Her ability to adapt and solve problems proactively has been beneficial in her various roles.

Since mid-2023, Mia has been serving as the Financial Manager at ODL.
